UK Medical Schools: 2025 Entry Interview Timelines

Fresh off the success of our latest Medical School Interview Courses and Mock MMI Circuits last weekend, we’re thrilled to hear that our students are already getting interview invites! Many have received interview invites from top universities, including Sheffield, Leicester, St George’s, Aberdeen, and Dundee.

Are you preparing for medical school interviews? Here’s a comprehensive and engaging guide to when each UK university is hosting interviews for the 2025 entry cycle. If known, we’ve also included details on when you can expect your invitation! We provide this information in good faith, but please check with the medical school website for the latest updates.

December 2024

• Aberdeen: MMIs begin on December 18.

• Dundee: In-person interviews will take place in December, with online options available in January.

• Edge Hill: Interviews will run from December through February.

• Sheffield: MMIs will be held from December 2–5 and January 13–21, 2025. The online panel interviews will take place from January 28–31.

• University of Chester: Interviews are scheduled for December.

• University of Warwick: MMIs will occur from December 16–19, with an online session for international applicants on January 15, 2025.

• Sunderland: In-person MMIs will be conducted in December and early January.

• St George’s: MMIs will take place in November and December, primarily in person.

January 2025

• Anglia Ruskin: MMIs at Chelmsford campus, 6–16 January.

• Barts and the London: Online interviews in January and February.

• Keele: Online MMIs from December to April.

• Kent and Medway: MMIs begin in January, with invites sent in late November and December.

• Leeds: MMIs scheduled between January and February.

• Liverpool: Home student interviews run from 20 January to 7 February, while international students may interview on 6–7 February.

• Manchester: Interviews held from December through early March.

• Plymouth: Likely to hold Zoom interviews in January and February (pending confirmation).

• Swansea: Online panel interviews from January to March.

• Southampton: In-person interviews on campus from January to March, with 2–3 weeks’ notice for UK applicants and 5–6 weeks for international students.

• Brighton and Sussex: Interviews, in person or via Zoom, from December 2024 to March 2025.

• Buckingham: Invitations sent by year-end; MMIs begin in February.

• Cardiff: In-person for UK applicants and online for international students, starting mid-December.

• Glasgow: Online interviews from November to February.

• Hull York: UK/EU applicants attend in-person interviews, while international candidates interview online.

• Imperial: Online asynchronous interviews are held in January, followed by live interviews in February.

• Lancaster: Interviews continue until late February; offers are made post-interviews.

• Newcastle: MMIs run from December to February; invites are sent by the end of November.

• Nottingham: Online MMIs are available from December to March.

• Queen’s Belfast: Interviews occur from December to March; format varies by applicant status.

• St Andrews: Online interviews span from November to March, with invites sent periodically.

• UCL: MMIs are held from December to March, in-person for home students and online for international applicants.

Special Notes

• Oxford and Cambridge: Traditional panel interviews take place in December. Check your college for exact dates.

• Edinburgh: Offers made by March following the Assessment Days for October 2024 applicants.

• University of Worcester: Interviews are scheduled for the week of 4 March 2025.
