In general, all our students performed very well. You all had a decent attempt at all the MMI stations you came across and we advise you continue this excellent effort. We would like to give some specific advice in order for you to continue to improve as you learn and challenge yourself over the next few weeks.

For many people, the dream of becoming a doctor starts at a young age. Knowing that you want to pursue such a specialised and specific path means that it is very important to choose your secondary school subjects carefully to ensure you meet the requirements to get into the UK medical school of your choice. 

A placement in a GP surgery is an excellent way to learn about what life is like being a doctor in the community as well as gaining experience that will help you in your medical school application.

A-level results are going to be released in a few days time. Last year on results day students reported to us not being able to get through on medical school clearing lines in the morning, and reported applications had been closed in some universities by the afternoon due to the sheer number of applicants

Universities vary in their requirements for GCSEs. Some will calculate the score from the 8 highest GCSE grades you get, others will look at all of them and then others will focus more on the core subjects like Maths, English and Sciences only

Medical schools are increasingly using live actors in MMI stations. A common scenario is where you have to use your initiative to resolve a conflict or a dilemma. From our knowledge of such assessments, the actor usually is briefed before the station and will have been told how to respond to what candidates say. They will usually not give away any information unless they are specifically asked.
