Terms and Conditions of Booking – Personal Tuition Sessions
Please read the following terms carefully before booking a personal tuition session. By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you understand and accept these conditions in full.
1. Preparation and Commitment
Significant preparation is undertaken prior to each session. By booking, you acknowledge that the tutor allocates time and resources in advance to tailor the tuition to your individual needs.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled session will be refunded, subject to a 25% administration fee to cover preparation and processing costs.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the session are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Rearrangement of sessions at short notice is at the sole discretion of the tutor and is not guaranteed.
3. Attendance and Lateness
Tutors will wait for up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If the student is based in the UK, the tutor will attempt to make contact by phone during this time.
If no contact is made within 10 minutes, the session will be terminated, and no refund will be issued.
If a student arrives late, the session will continue until the originally agreed end time; no additional time will be added.
If a student chooses to leave the session early for any reason, no partial refund will be given.
4. Online Sessions – Technical Requirements
For online sessions, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have:
A reliable internet connection
A working computer capable of running Zoom
A functioning microphone and webcam
Technical issues on the student’s side, including software incompatibility or poor connectivity, will not warrant a refund or rescheduling of the session.
5. Tutor Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the tutor must cancel a session, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule at a mutually convenient time.
If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in connection with any tuition session shall be limited to the amount paid for that specific session. We do not accept liability for any indirect or consequential losses.
