Terms and Conditions of Service
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made with Blue Peanut Medical Education for UCAS personal statement reviews and personal tuition sessions. By booking a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.
1. UCAS Personal Statement Review Service
1.1 Non-Refundable Service
Once booked, UCAS personal statement review services are non-refundable. This reflects the allocation of tutor time and resources in preparing your review.
1.2 Turnaround Time
We aim to return written feedback within 3–5 working days from receipt of your personal statement and payment. This timeframe is a guideline and not a guarantee.
1.3 Follow-Up Review
Each booking includes one additional follow-up review by email only. This must relate to the same personal statement submitted in the original booking.
1.4 No Guarantee of Outcome
While we provide expert guidance, we do not guarantee that using our service will result in an interview or an offer from a university. Students remain responsible for their own UCAS application. You are free to accept or reject the advice provided.
2. Personal Tutor Sessions
2.1 Preparation
Significant preparation is undertaken prior to each tuition session. By booking, you acknowledge that tutors allocate time and resources in advance to tailor teaching to your needs.
2.2 Cancellations and Refunds
More than 14 days’ notice: Bookings cancelled more than 14 days before the scheduled session will be refunded, subject to a 25% administration fee to cover preparation and processing costs.
Within 14 days: Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled session are non-refundable.
Rescheduling: Rearranging at short notice is at the tutor’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
2.3 Attendance and Lateness
Tutors will wait up to 10 minutes after the agreed start time. If no contact is made, the session will be deemed cancelled by the student and no refund issued.
If you arrive late, the session will continue only until the scheduled end time. No extra time will be added.
If you leave early, no partial refund will be provided.
2.4 Online Sessions – Technical Requirements
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have:
A stable internet connection
A computer capable of running Zoom (or other agreed platform)
A functioning microphone and webcam
Technical issues arising from the student’s equipment, software, or connection will not warrant a refund or rescheduling.
2.5 Tutor Cancellation
In the unlikely event that a tutor must cancel, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
3. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability in connection with any service shall be limited to the amount paid for that specific booking. We accept no responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including (but not limited to) loss of opportunity, loss of academic place, or reputational damage.
4. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
