Kent and Medway's new medical school in Canterbury overwhelmed by demand for places

Here is an interesting article in the Herald. So what do you think are the advantages and down sides of applying to a newer medical school?

Think about the facilities that are offered - they are more likely to be more modern and up to date? Why is this a positive? What about the view that traditional, tried and tested is better? Are they any down sides or risks of studying at a newer medical school?
